Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide therapeutic services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. This role focuses on assisting patients in developing and restoring functional independence while adhering to state and federal regulations as well as facility guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Implement therapy interventions as outlined in the Occupational Therapist’s plan of care.
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist in educating patients and their families on therapeutic processes.
• Communicate patient status and progress to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active state COTA license or the ability to obtain one.
• Strong teamwork and patient care skills.
