Day Shift (7:00A – 7:30P) with Weekend and Holiday Rotation

Minimum Experience Required

2 years

Certifications/Requirements

• Active IL RN Licensure
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or TNS (Trauma Nurse Specialist)

Position Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in our emergency department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in the care of patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Documents patient care according to standards.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
• Develops and executes individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by Physicians and clinic policies, including instructing patients and families.
• Participates in department performance improvement activities and may be involved in shared governance.
• Offers clinical expertise and guidance to other departments in support of patient care.
• Practices critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experiences while appropriately escalating issues through the chain of command.
• Engages in the professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities, and the peer review process.

Additional Information

Registered Nurses may be required to float to other locations within the region as needed.
