Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. This position requires a strong background in emergency nursing, with a focus on providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population across all age groups, from infants to geriatric patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:4, with the potential to care for up to 5 patients during lower acuity periods.
• Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for patients with complex diagnoses.
• Float to sister emergency department facilities as needed to support staffing demand.
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled, with an expectation to work every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland.
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI (to be completed during onboarding).
• NRP and TNCC certifications are preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting is required, with first-time travelers considered.

Shift Information

This position requires rotating night and evening shifts, with options for 3×12 or 4×12 hour schedules. Primary need is for night shifts at this time, but flexibility in scheduling based on department needs is expected.

Additional Information

No pre-scheduled on-call shifts will be required for this position.
