Multi-Modality Technologist

Position Overview

The Multi-Modality Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality imaging and patient care in both X-ray and CT modalities. This role requires effective communication with patients to explain procedures and ensure their understanding and comfort during imaging processes. Technologists will produce images for interpretation and requests made by licensed practitioners.

Shift Information

• 3×12 hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to similar units may occur based on facility needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide quality imaging services and patient care in X-ray and CT.
• Effectively explain procedures to patients and ensure they are informed and competent.
• Produce images in accordance with the standards required for interpretation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in radiology preferred.
• First-timers are welcome, but prior experience is preferred.
• Must hold current registrations in Radiography (ARRT) (R) & Computed Tomography (ARRT) (C).
• Certification from SCRQSA, BLS, and ACLS is required; pending certification is acceptable if obtained within 2-3 weeks of hire.
• Experience in emergency, trauma, pediatrics, and orthopedic exams is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Siemens equipment, EPIC, and PACS is beneficial.
• Agency must provide radiation badges; badges will not be provided on-site.

Additional Information

• Travelers should be aware of the hurricane season, running from June to November. Emergency response team assignments may occur during this time.
• RTO (Requests for Time Off) must be included at the time of submission and approved based on unit needs.
• Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Work Environment

• Type of facility includes a Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with a total of 865 staffed beds.
• Uniform: Teal blue tops and black bottoms.
• Charting system utilized is Epic.
• Parking is available for a one-time fee on nights and weekends.
