Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg/Tele

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Med/Surg/Tele to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care consistent with clinical standards.
• Float to different units as required.
• Handle patient care responsibilities including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to coordinate care and manage patient needs.
• Attend required hospital orientation and daily classes during the first week.

Work Schedule

Shifts are 12 hours, from 18:45 to 07:15, with opportunities for either 36 or 48-hour contracts. Availability for every other weekend is necessary. Please note that contract staff may be required to report to work during catastrophic events or disasters.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification required.
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.
• First-time travelers are accepted.
• Charge nurse experience is preferred.
• Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start is necessary.

Special Notes

• Work includes an isolation area for COVID-19 patients and multi-level care.
• Unit systems utilized include Pyxis, Epic, and SBAR for medication management and documentation.
• All travelers are required to wear navy scrubs while on duty.
