Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Job Description

The Physical Therapist Assistant’s primary responsibility is to execute selected physical therapy procedures and related tasks under the guidance and supervision of a registered Physical Therapist. The Assistant will implement treatment modalities and exercises based on the patient’s medical needs and in accordance with an approved treatment plan while understanding the limitations of the assistant role. Key responsibilities include:

• Treating patients using various modalities and exercise techniques.
• Documenting daily notes and discharge information accurately.
• Maintaining the department in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Working with a diverse patient population, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant experience is required.
• Recent traveler experience is preferred.
• Certification in BLS (American Heart Association) is required.
• Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Oklahoma is required.

Schedule

This position may require occasional Saturday shifts in inpatient rehabilitation or acute care settings. There are no on-call requirements for this role.
