Medical ICU Float Position

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced professionals for a Medical ICU Float Position. This role requires adaptability and expertise in a high-paced, critical care environment.

Schedule

• Contract duration: 8 weeks
• Start date: February 1
• 12-hour shifts: Rotating Days/Nights
• Requests for time off: Maximum three days; holiday time off will not be accepted
• All time off requests must be submitted at the time of application

Responsibilities

As a Medical ICU Float, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to address critical health needs. Your duties will include:

• Monitoring and assessing patients in the ICU
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Responding to patient emergencies and implementing emergency interventions
• Documenting patient care and treatment plans in accordance with protocols
• Participating in staff education and training activities

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience, with a focus on critical care in a level 1 trauma setting
• Current Massachusetts nursing license
• CPR certification (AHA) and ACLS certification (AHA) required

Orientation

Orientation is held weekly on Mondays, excluding holidays, providing an excellent opportunity to prepare for the role and integrate into the team.
