Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool team. The role requires flexibility to float to various units, including Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Medical/Surgical, Medical/Oncology, and Emergency Department holds. This is a full-time position with 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, totaling 36 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across multiple units, adapting to diverse patient needs.
• Ensure all patient care activities align with established protocols and standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient conditions and employ critical thinking in decision-making.

Qualifications

• Must possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Dysrhythmia testing is required but not necessary for submission.
• Previous experience with Cerner electronic medical record (EMR) systems is preferred.
• Ability to manage care for patients with varying needs, including those in progressive and emergency settings.
• Must provide a complete work history that includes detailed information about each previous role, such as health system name, bed count, EMR technology used, facility type, trauma level, nursing ratios, etc.
• All employment gaps over 30 days must be explained.

This role requires a reliable means of transportation, as public transit options may be limited. Orientation sessions for new employees are held biweekly, and schedule requests will be considered at the manager’s discretion.
