Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Information:

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Specialty: Emergency Department (ED)
• Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: No guarantee for weekends off, but efforts are made for a fair schedule
• Call Requirements: None

Required Certifications:

• ACLS
• BCLS/BLS
• PALS
• NIH
• TNCC
• CPI (preferred)

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a non-trauma emergency department
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Ability to manage ventilated patients
• Experience with triage is essential

Unit Information:

• Trauma Level: Level 2
• Patient Ratios: 1:4
• Availability of Critical Care Bays: 4
• Patient Population: Pediatrics to Geriatrics
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments: A diverse patient population with a wide range of conditions

Equipment and Technology:

• Ultrasound (US)
• Bladder Scanner
• Neuro Telecomputer
• Care Aware Handheld Devices
• EHR: Omnicell, EPIC, SBAR

Additional Notes:

• Travelers are required to float to ED Holding as needed.
• Facility provides teleneurology for stroke in cooperation with a major hospitals.
