Nuclear Medicine Technologist

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures. This role entails providing support to fellow imaging technologists, ensuring smooth and efficient patient flow, and demonstrating flexibility to work across shifts or locations as necessary. Key duties include troubleshooting basic maintenance issues, participating in quality assurance activities, and addressing challenges related to image processing and archiving systems.

• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards set by regulatory agencies.
• Perform examinations and procedures to support patient throughput within the scope of licensure and competencies.
• Flexibility in working other shifts or at different locations as required.
• Ensure correct scanning and storage of completed exams in the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
• Follow downtime procedures as a PACS Superuser and escalate technical issues as necessary.
• Report any equipment malfunctions to appropriate management personnel and follow up on resolutions.
• Undertake other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other recognized equivalent required.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency required.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) certification by ARRT or NMTCB required.
• State Licensure: Texas MRT by TMB required.
• BLS certification required (AHA only).

Work Schedule

7 AM to 5 PM, Full Time
