MRI Technologist

Job Overview

An opportunity is available for a skilled MRI Technologist to provide weekend coverage, assisting in the care and imaging of patients at a busy acute care facility. This role involves working closely with a dedicated team and managing a consistent patient load.

Shifts and Coverage

• Weekend coverage: 16 hours per day from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM for Saturday and Sunday.
• Evening shift: Additional 8 hours, available on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

Caseload

The average daily caseload is 20-25 patients over a 24-hour period. Technologists will collaborate within the department, ensuring support and shared responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered MRI Technologist is required.
• Certifications: BCLS; ARRT (MR) mandatory.
• IV Starts required; experience with PACS and Contrast preferred.
• Experience in adult acute care settings including ICU, outpatient, and ER/Trauma is required.
• Specific MRI procedure experience required: Abdomen and MRCP.

Special Requirements

• Must be available to work on weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
• No call requirement and no floating between departments.
• Consideration for candidates up to 100 miles away on a case-by-case basis.
• Pending state license will be accepted as long as it is active by the start date.

Facility Details

This position is situated in a short-term acute care, level 1 trauma center and major teaching hospital. The facility is equipped with a Phillips MRI scanner, and prioritizes a supportive professional environment.

• Scrub color: Caribbean Blue.
• Charting systems used: Cerner, Fuji Synapse.
• Parking is free for all personnel.

All personnel are required to receive a flu vaccination unless medically exempt. The flu season runs from October 1st to March 31st, with exemptions requiring documented proof.

COVID vaccination is not required.
