Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Tele/IMC Float Pool

Job Overview

This position requires a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to work in the Med/Surg Tele/IMC Float Pool. The RN will provide care across various units, adapting to the needs of patients in both Med/Surg and Intermediate Care settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care within a 1:4 to 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Float between Medical/Surgical and Intermediate Care units.
• Caring for patients with conditions such as:
  • Acute respiratory distress
  • Septic shock
  • Hypertensive crisis
  • Severe congestive heart failure
  • Myocardial infarction
  • Unstable angina
  • Trauma patients

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of Telemetry experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of prior experience in an Intermediate Care unit in a hospital setting.
• Must have recent Med/Surg Tele experience in a hospital environment.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is mandatory.

Additional Requirements

• Proof of recent flu vaccination.
• Completion of a 2-step PPD test is necessary.
