Summary

The competent Nurse practices independently in a clinical setting, demonstrating a comprehensive awareness of relevant aspects of patient situations. Responsibilities include providing both routine and complex care while focusing on long-range goals and plans. The Nurse is empowered to cope with and manage clinical contingencies effectively, making appropriate assignments and delegating tasks to other care providers to ensure optimal management of the situation.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the applicable competencies, including Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provide nursing care in accordance with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families according to their level of practice.
• Administer medications and treatments following appropriate protocols, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Document patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
• Assess learning needs and educate patients, family members, and caregivers, identifying issues and available resources.

Job Requirements

Education/Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Experience

• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• BLS certification required
• Valid RN License in the state of employment or compact required

Work Schedule

This position is full-time with shifts from 7AM to 3PM.
