Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Med Surg/Telemetry for a full-time night shift position. The role involves working three 12-hour shifts per week with an estimated total of 48 hours per schedule.

Weekend and Holiday Requirements

The RN is expected to work every other weekend and may be required to cover holidays as needed.

Orientation and Training

New employees will participate in an 8-hour non-billable orientation session prior to starting their shifts.

Unit Information

• Unit Size: 20 to 34 beds, depending on the assigned unit.
• Patient Ratio: 1:6, typically.
• Dress Code: Personal scrubs of any color.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• Willingness to float to any Med Surg unit is required.
• Completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia course is strongly required.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is highly preferred.
• Current certifications required:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS
• A valid Massachusetts RN license is mandatory.
• Travelers must have their own vehicle for this assignment.

Application Notes

Requested time off during the course of this assignment must be noted at the time of application. No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted.

Travelers may not take all holidays off and must work two holiday blocks if scheduled:

• Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday, as well as the weekend thereafter.
• Christmas Eve through Christmas Day, along with the weekend afterwards.
• New Year’s Eve through New Year’s Day, including the weekend that follows.

All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission; requests made following an interview may not be accommodated.
