PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PACU Registered Nurse to join our team. This position requires a strong background in post-anesthesia care, with the ability to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medication and monitor patient vital signs post-surgery.
• Assess patients’ conditions and respond to their needs promptly.
• Coordinate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding post-operative care.
• Assist in the care of pediatric through geriatric patients with diverse surgical diagnoses.
• Participate in the orientation and training of new staff as needed.

Shift Details

• Shift: Days, 3×12-hour shifts (07:30 – 20:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within specialty may be required

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience; strong candidates with 3-5 years of PACU experience or 2 years of ICU experience may also be considered.
• Current RN license in the given state.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH.

Patient Care Environment

• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Number of beds/rooms in the unit: 16
• Patient diagnosis range includes orthopedic, neurology, cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, general surgery, thoracic surgery, urology, and gynecology.

Additional Information

• Required to work holidays as scheduled.
• Scrub color: Navy Blue.
