Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in delivering exceptional patient care within the field of cardiology. This full-time position involves working days from 0800 to 1630, along with a call rotation requirement every 2-3 weekends, ensuring quality support and care during cardiovascular procedures.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, holistic patient care to adult and geriatric patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and positive outcomes throughout cardiovascular procedures.
• Support patients’ physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs in a surgical and procedural setting.
• Collaborate with physicians to provide continuous updates and effective communication regarding patient status before, during, and after procedures.
• Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring all equipment is operational, calibrated, and ready for use.
• Manage supplies and inventory, ensuring that case-specific materials are available for an efficient workflow.
• Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, responding swiftly to changes as necessary.
• Continuously assess and document patient condition while in the Cardiovascular Lab, maintaining comprehensive and accurate records.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement activities to enhance patient care and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current and active state Registered Nursing (RN) License required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required upon hire and must be maintained.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab performing cardiac procedures or in a critical care environment is required.
