Electrophysiology Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrophysiology Technician to join our team in the EP Lab. This role involves working with a diverse patient population, including adult and geriatric patients, in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with electrophysiology procedures in a laboratory setting.
• Collaborate with medical staff to provide high-quality patient care.
• Maintain safety and compliance standards while performing diagnostic tests.
• Document patient information and procedure details accurately.
• Manage equipment and supplies in the lab effectively.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Electrophysiology Technician.
• First-time candidates are welcome to apply.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, ARRT R or CCI RCIS or CCI RCES.

Work Environment

The Electrophysiology Technician will operate within a 2-room lab with a patient ratio of 1:5, handling approximately 8-12 patients per day. The unit utilizes Epic and Pyxis systems. Scrub color will be provided by the facility.

Shift & Schedule

• Day Shift: 4×10 Hours (07:00 – 17:30)
• Every other weekend schedule, unless otherwise specified.
• Expected to work one major holiday if it falls within the assignment period; if two or three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the expectation increases accordingly.

Additional Information

• Maximum request time off (RTO): 7 days.
• RTO blackout dates include Spring Break (April 4th-12th).
• Floating within the facility may occur, as needed.
• Call duty is required, with no weekend calls but may involve staying beyond shift hours if on call.
• Full compliance is necessary for timely onboarding; any delays may postpone the start date by two weeks due to orientation schedules.
• Candidates will undergo a clinical screening to determine fit within guidelines before proceeding to the hiring manager for final decision-making.
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate.
