Registered Nurse (RN) – SSSU/PACU

We are currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team, starting as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in the following areas: Preoperative care, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Phase II recovery, Endoscopy, and Infusion services.

Schedule

The work schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts with variable hours and shared on-call rotation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the SSSU/PACU environment.
• Float to various outpatient services, including Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, PACU, and Pre-operative Clinic.
• Administer conscious sedation during special procedures as required.
• Conduct thorough nursing assessments to ensure optimal peri-operative education and care.
• Recognize and respond to post-anesthesia and post-operative complications effectively.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of experience in SSSU/PACU, Preoperative, and Postoperative care is required.
• Charge nurse experience is preferred.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS/BCLS, and PALS are mandatory.

Holiday coverage may be required as part of the scheduled shifts.
