Physical Therapist

Shift Information

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Flexibility in work hours is possible. Must be available to work on Saturdays without exception.

Experience Required

Minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy.

Certifications

• BLS/BCLS Certification is required.

Job Description

The primary responsibilities include conducting physical therapy evaluations and delivering treatments. The role involves a combination of inpatient (25%) and outpatient (75%) therapy.

This position requires independence and a comprehensive approach to patient care, particularly in rural settings. Responsibilities span various patient diagnoses and settings, including acute care, ICU, skilled nursing facilities (SNF), and outpatient therapy.

The physical therapist will be required to work in:

• Emergency Room
• Intensive Care Unit
• Medical/Surgical Units
• Outpatient Physical Therapy Clinic
• Occasionally in Obstetrics

The full therapy schedule will include a mix of inpatient and outpatient appointments, typically seeing between 5 and 15 patients per day. Initial evaluations will last one hour, while follow-up treatment sessions will be approximately 30-45 minutes each.

Obtaining a Hawaii physical therapy license is required as soon as possible.
