Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Emergency Department team. This position requires a strong clinical background in emergency care and offers an opportunity to work in a high-acuity environment with a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients from adolescents to geriatrics in a fast-paced emergency department.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Utilize relevant clinical knowledge to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care strategies.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while adhering to protocols and standards.
• Monitor patient conditions, interpret diagnostic results, and respond effectively to emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and care plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience; candidates with 1-2 completed travel assignments will not be considered.
• Previous experience in a busy emergency department environment is required, with a preference for those who have completed at least 3 ER travel contracts.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS.

Work Environment

This Emergency Department is large and handles a high volume of patients, averaging between 165 and 175 patients daily. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4, supporting a team-focused and collaborative atmosphere.

Additional Information

• Shifts: Day shift (4×12 hour shifts, 07:00 – 19:00).
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days.
• Travelers may be required to float within the facility, depending on patient care needs.
• Must be available to work during major holidays if they fall within the assignment period.
• Compliance with onboarding requirements is mandatory to ensure timely start dates.
