Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Infusion Unit. This position requires expertise in oncology infusion and the ability to handle complex GI regimens. The RN Infusion will work in a collaborative environment providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and other infusion therapies to patients.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment plans and care protocols.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with facility policies.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of oncology infusion experience in an Academic Medical Center (AMC).
• 1+ year of outpatient experience required.
• 1+ year of travel nursing experience preferred.
• Strong intravenous (IV) skills and assessment capabilities.
• ONS certification required.
• BLS certification is mandatory.

Work Schedule

This position requires a commitment to a 36-hour workweek with rotating shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM or 8 AM to 8 PM, including every other weekend and holiday rotations.

Unit Description

The Infusion Unit consists of sixty beds/chairs and is part of the Division of Hematology-Oncology, focusing on providing high-quality infusion services to patients in a supportive environment.
