Job Description

This position encompasses a variety of integrated functions using the nursing process while applying comprehensive nursing knowledge in a compassionate manner.

Responsibilities

• Assesses: Evaluate patient for physical, emotional, psychosocial, and family support needs.
• Organizes and Coordinates: Manage all aspects of patient care based on the patient’s real and/or perceived needs.
• Evaluates: Monitor patient progress by correlating patient information with nursing knowledge to determine the achievement of goals outlined in the patient’s plan of care or clinical path.
• Consults and Collaborates: Work with healthcare team members in planning and implementing comprehensive care for individuals.

All Tele

Patient Ratio

4:1, occasionally may stretch to 5:1

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a relevant nursing specialty.
• Tele cardiac experience.
• Recent travel work history is highly preferred.
• Must have the ability to float between different PCU and Med Surg units as necessary.

Profile Requirements

• Work history relevant to the specialty.
• Current skills checklist pertinent to the Progressive Care Unit, documented within the last year.
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the past two years.
• Active Michigan nursing license as indicated by LARA and/or Nursys.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification.
