CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

This position is for a CVOR Registered Nurse. The role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to handle various responsibilities within the cardiovascular operating room environment.

Unit Details

• Role: Charge RN with additional compensation for charge responsibilities.
• Weekend Requirements: Friday to Sunday.
• Call Schedule: Variable; typically one weekday call each week and one weekend call every 5-6 weeks.
• Floating: Required within the facility as needed, adhering to scope of practice.
• Minimum Experience: 2 years; first-time travelers are accepted.

Clinical Screening

Candidates will undergo a clinical review to assess fit. Successful clinical screens will then be forwarded to the hiring manager for final approval. Screening will occur on a case-by-case basis.

Holiday Requirements

Travelers are expected to work during holiday periods as follows:

• If one major holiday occurs within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work.
• If two major holidays occur, the traveler must work both.
• If three major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work two of them.

Major holidays include:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day

Compliance

Full compliance with staff requirements is necessary to start on time. Non-compliance may result in a delay of up to two weeks due to orientation scheduling.
