Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position involves caring for a diverse patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience, although first-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH
• Experience with neuro/stroke patients, respiratory and cardiac conditions
• Ability to manage cardiac drips and perform continuous telemetry monitoring

Unit Information

• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• 36 beds with an average daily census of 30 patients
• System Utilization: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Work Schedule

• No Block Scheduling
• Night Shift: 3×12 Hours (19:00 – 07:30)
• Every other weekend availability required

Time Off Policy

• Request Time Off (RTO): Maximum of 7 days
• RTO Blackout Dates: Spring Break (April 4th-12th)

Floating and Holiday Requirements

• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Holiday work required if assigned during major holidays:
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day

Compliance and Orientation

Full compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant, there will be a pushback of two weeks due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule. The number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) Hours is determined by contract length.
