Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This role focuses on providing exceptional care in the Operating Room, with a patient population ranging from adults to geriatrics. Candidates with a minimum of one year of experience are encouraged to apply, including first-time travelers.

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub for a variety of surgical procedures, including General, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, Robotics, Urology, Vascular, and Colorectal surgeries.
• Collaborate with surgical teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment across 16 operating rooms.
• Utilize Epic and Pyxis systems effectively, as well as operate 2 Da Vinci XI Robots.

Work Environment

The position is located in the main Operating Room, offering exposure to a range of surgical specialties. The average daily census is 35 patients.

Schedule and Availability

• Day shift, working 4×10-hour shifts from 06:30 to 17:00.
• Weekend requirements include 2-3 weekends per 8-week schedule, which may involve in-house responsibilities or on-call duties.
• Call requirements are approximately 7-8 calls in an 8-week schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Travellers are expected to work major holidays as needed, with varying expectations depending on the number of holidays in the assignment period.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Circulate and scrub experience is mandatory.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and respond to on-call needs as outlined.

Additional Information

Full compliance is required to ensure a timely start to the assignment. Orientation hours may vary based on the length of the contract.

The facility provides scrub colors for staff. Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers.
