Multimodality Technologist (X-Ray & CT)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Multimodality Technologist to perform CT scans and radiographic examinations. This role involves producing computerized tomographic scans and diagnostic radiographs of designated anatomical areas, adhering to established practices and procedures. The technologist will be responsible for obtaining patient history, explaining routine procedures, and addressing patient concerns.

Shift Details

• Work schedule: Friday-Sunday (2 Days/1 Night)
• Friday: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM at main location
• Saturday: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Sunday: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• On-call rotation among staff, requiring potential weekend work if shifts are not filled.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience as a registered Radiological Technologist and Computed Tomography.
• First-time candidates are welcome to apply.
• National certifications required: ARRT (R) (CT), SCRQSA (R) (CT), CPR, BLS.
• Completion of an AMA-approved school of radiological technology and registration by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists are necessary.
• License required by the applicable state radiation quality standards association.
• Certification in CPR from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
• Radiation badge is mandatory and must be provided by the agency.

Additional Information

• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• All time-off requests must be included at the time of submission for approval based on facility needs.
• The facility reserves the right to call off one shift per two weeks.

Working Conditions

Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June to November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams. It is advisable that travelers do not confirm new or extended assignments during this period.

Unit Information

This position operates in a small, innovative radiology unit, ensuring high-quality imaging services are delivered efficiently.

Charting System

The charting system utilized is Epic.

Uniform Requirements

The designated scrub colors are black pants and teal tops.
