Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a passion for providing high-quality care to patients in an emergency environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the emergency department, assessing and monitoring patients’ conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Conduct assessments, including obtaining patient histories and performing physical examinations.
• Manage emergency situations and provide critical interventions as needed.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and health management strategies.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the Emergency Room specialty is required.
• Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a compact state at the time of application.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is preferred.

Schedule

This position requires working night shifts, specifically 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including at least every other holiday.

Additional Information

New hires will complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment during orientation, with acceptable scores required on both assessments.
