Unit Overview
The Pediatric PeriAnesthesia Unit is a specialized unit designed for the preoperative and postoperative care of pediatric patients. It features:
- A 10-bed pediatric preoperative and postoperative unit
- An additional 4-bed Pediatric Surgical Observation Unit (PSOU) for extended recovery care
Job Details
This position involves providing comprehensive care to pediatric patients requiring pre- and post-surgical support, including overnight observation or extended recovery (up to 23 hours) after surgery.
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night shift, 3×12 hours (19:00 – 07:30)
- Schedule: Every other weekend, every other holiday
Qualifications
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required.
- VA nursing license is acceptable if pending.
- Must adhere to the 50-mile radius rule for this position.
