Credentialing Coordinator

Job Summary

The Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for managing the credentialing process for healthcare professionals, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. This role involves gathering, verifying, and maintaining documentation related to credentialing and privileging of staff members.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough verification of credentials, licenses, and certifications for healthcare providers.
• Maintain accurate records and databases regarding the credentialing status of personnel.
• Prepare and submit credentialing documents in accordance with compliance regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate the onboarding process for new hires.
• Assist in the development and implementation of credentialing policies and procedures.
• Monitor and maintain knowledge of changes in laws, regulations, and standards related to credentialing.
• Respond to inquiries regarding credentialing status and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in a relevant field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous experience in credentialing or a related administrative role.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

• CPCS (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist) or similar certification.
• Experience with credentialing software and tools.
