Job Description

The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist II plays a pivotal role on the patient care team, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless continuity of care for patients. This position emphasizes a patient- and family-centered approach in all interactions, aiming to understand and fulfill the needs of patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in patient care and procedural preparation.
• Collaborate with the care team to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
• Utilize advanced imaging equipment and technology for diagnostics and interventions.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures within the Cath Lab.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to keep skills current and to meet certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist required.
• At least 1 year of travel experience as an ARRT certified professional required.
• Certification in RCIS required.
• Current ACLS certification is mandatory.

Work Schedule

This position may require (3) 12-hour shifts or (4) 10-hour shifts. Weeknight and holiday call may be necessary during the contract, with no guaranteed weekend or holiday shifts. In a 13-week contract, expect 1-3 weeknight shifts and possibly one weekend shift.

Unit Information

The Cath Lab features seven procedure rooms and a hybrid operating room, all recently upgraded. A 12-bay peri-procedural space is available for patient preparation and recovery. The lab averages over 30 procedures daily, ranging from outpatient cardiac catheterizations to complex structural and vascular interventions. Hemodynamic measurements are conducted using the Siemens Sensis system, with Epic as the primary charting system.
