• Active Illinois RN Licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality care for patients in the emergency setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing techniques, policies, and state laws.
• Document patient care activities according to established standards.
• Develop and execute individualized patient care plans based on physician directives and patient needs.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement activities and shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance across departments to support patient care continuity.
• Exercise critical thinking to enhance patient safety and experience, escalating issues to the appropriate channels as necessary.
• Engage in professional nursing activities including peer review and unit practice discussions.
