Registered Nurse (RN) – MS/Tele Float Pool

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical-Surgical Telemetry Float Pool. This role primarily involves providing high-quality patient care in a telemetry setting, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients while monitoring their conditions closely.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and support to patients in a telemetry and medical-surgical environment.
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond to changes in patients’ conditions.
• Float between units as needed, maintaining proficiency in all assigned areas.
• Adhere to all safety and quality protocols, including infection prevention standards.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Participate in patient education and support activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 prior travel assignment.
• Certification in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required.
• Successful completion of the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam, with a minimum score of 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms.
• Experience in cardiac telemetry and MS/Tele nursing environments is essential.
• Familiarity with patient ratios and care management, specifically 1:5 patient care ratio.

Working Conditions

• Shift: 4×12 Nights
• Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed.
• Scrubs must be navy in color and are not provided.
• Flu vaccination is mandatory for all employees.
