Scrub Tech – First Assist

We are seeking a skilled Scrub Tech – First Assist with a focus on orthopedic experience to join our dynamic surgical team. This position involves a commitment of 40 hours per week, consisting of five 8-hour shifts, along with rotating on-call responsibilities, averaging 1-2 days per week and every fourth weekend.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in surgical procedures by providing first assist support to the surgical team.
• Prepare the operating room, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are ready.
• Maintain sterile techniques and follow safety protocols during surgeries.
• Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Participate in the handling and care of surgical instruments.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of surgical first-assisting experience is required.
• Experience in orthopedic procedures is essential.
• Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
• Certification as a Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) or another nationally recognized surgical assisting certification is preferred.
• Current registration as a surgical assistant in Colorado, when applicable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
