Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

This position is for a Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in nights. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with a diverse range of patient needs, including chronic ventilated patients requiring respiratory support.

Contract Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: December 7, 2026
• Shift: 3×12 or 4×12 available (19:00 – 07:30)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients on a telemetry unit.
• Monitor patient health status and provide timely interventions as necessary.
• Recognize and respond effectively to changes in patients’ health conditions.
• Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals.
• Float within specialty as required, accommodating lower acuity needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) required; first-time travelers accepted.
• Current RN license in the state of Maryland.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

• Average Daily Census: 22 patients
• Patient-to-Nurse Ratio: 1:5
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Must work as scheduled
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: EPIC proficiency required
