Registered Nurse (RN) – NICU

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional care to critically ill infants and a commitment to working within a collaborative healthcare environment.

Education Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Certifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) License in Ohio.
• CPR certification.
• NRP certification.

Experience

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a NICU setting is required; greater than 2 years is preferred.

Skills and Competencies

• Competency in Central Line, PICC, and Umbilical line placement and maintenance.
• Skilled in various forms of oxygen delivery, including Nasal Cannula, High Flow, CPAP, NIV, and Ventilator Management.
• Preferred experience with G-Tubes and Trach, though not mandatory.

Float Expectations

Candidates may be required to float to inpatient units if they are not needed in the NICU.

Work Schedule

• 12-hour shifts.
• Shifts will be scheduled based on the needs of the unit.
• Weekend shifts are required, typically every third weekend, but may vary based on unit demand.

Uniform Requirements

Scrub color: Navy blue scrub top and navy blue or black scrub pants.
