General Medical Technologist

A dynamic opportunity for a General Medical Technologist to contribute to a laboratory setting by performing diagnostic testing, quality control, and ensuring adherence to laboratory protocols. The role includes participating in cross-training initiatives and managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct various laboratory tests, including those in Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Serology, and Immunohematology.
• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results through proper laboratory procedures and quality control checks.
• Assist in the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding test results and laboratory operations.
• Participate in cross-training to enhance versatility within the laboratory.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Florida Medical Technologist Licensure in Chemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology, Serology, and Microbiology.
• ASCP or AMT certification required.
• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Medical Technologist or 4 years as a Medical Laboratory Technician is required.
• Experience with electronic health record systems, specifically Epic, is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Wellsky software is highly preferred.

Shift Information

This position requires a commitment to 12-hour night shifts.
