Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional respiratory care in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role requires flexibility in scheduling, including night shifts and every third weekend availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients with conditions such as COPD and pneumonia.
• Utilize advanced ventilators including Puritan Bennett 840 and Nihon Kohden NKV-330 for patient management.
• Coordinate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in special procedures within the respiratory therapy unit.
• Float within scope as needed to meet facility demands.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Current RRT or CRT certification, along with a valid state license.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS is required.
• Must complete a fit test using approved masks prior to employment.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

• Type: Short-Term Acute Care, Level 1 Trauma Center, Major teaching hospital.
• Total Staffed Beds: 855.
• Charting System: Cerner.

Additional Information

Candidates located within a 100-mile radius will be considered. Orientation sessions are held every other Monday, and the selected candidate is expected to adapt to a busy outpatient surgery department and dynamic emergency room environment.
