Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a hospitalist unit specializing in general medicine. The RN will work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care while providing support to patients with varying medical needs.

Schedule

• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shifts, 3×12 hours (18:45 – 07:15)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule

Patient Care Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5, with a goal of achieving 1:4.
• Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patients receive optimal care.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and care plans.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Epic experience is required.
• Ability to float to other PCU units and potentially Med Surg as needed.
• Strong clinical skills in progressive care settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
