Physical Therapist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our therapy team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to a diverse patient population across various settings, including outpatient, acute care, and skilled nursing facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patient outcomes.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment as necessary.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on techniques to improve mobility and manage pain.
• Participate in departmental initiatives and quality improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Alaska.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience in pediatrics and adolescents is preferred but not required.

Job Details

• Shift Options: 5 days per week (8-hour shifts) or 4 days per week (10-hour shifts)—traveler’s choice.
• Contract Length: 13 or 26 weeks—traveler’s choice.
• Guaranteed Hours: 70 hours per 2 weeks.
• Weekend Requirements: None.
• Floating: The clinician may float within their scope to meet facility needs.
• Housing: Facility-provided housing available during the assignment, limited to 1-bedroom apartments.
• Pets: Not allowed in housing units.
• Cleaning: Housing units must be cleaned upon departure, or additional fees may apply.
