Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU Float

This position is for experienced registered nurses looking to join a dynamic float pool for progressive care and medical-surgical units. The role involves patient care across multiple units, ensuring high-quality support based on unit needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Float between Intermediate Care (IMC), medical-surgical (MedSurg), and telemetry units.
• Take care of IMC level boarders in the Emergency Department (ED) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as required.
• Manage patient care with a focus on the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.

Patient Ratios:

• IMC: 1:4 patient ratio
• Medical-Surgical/Telemetry: 1:5-6 patient ratio

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in PCU, DOU, IMC, or stepdown nursing.
• Completion of at least one travel assignment is required.
• Successful completion of the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80%, and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.

Additional Information:

• Weekend and holiday shifts are required based on hospital needs.
• Scrubs must be provided by the employee; specified color is Caribbean Blue.
• Clinicians will report to the staffing office for float assignments.

All employees are required to have the annual Flu vaccine.
