Emergency Nurse

The Emergency Nurse provides vital care to patients facing urgent or critical illnesses, as well as those seeking emergency and non-urgent assistance. Responsibilities include triaging patients based on their care requirements, conducting ongoing assessments, delivering immediate interventions, and providing discharge education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Triage patients according to their care needs.
• Perform ongoing assessments and monitor patients’ conditions.
• Provide immediate interventions for urgent and critical care needs.
• Deliver discharge teaching and ensure patient understanding.
• Work with diverse populations including prenatal, neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Interact effectively with patients of varying intellectual and physical abilities.

Requirements:

• Current RN License in Massachusetts is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification is required.
• PALS certification is required.
• CPI or MOAB certification is required.
• Availability to cover at least one holiday.
• Commitment to work every other weekend.

Schedule:

Available shifts include either 36 or 48 hours per week, primarily during the night.
