Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for a fast-paced inpatient surgical unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong surgical experience and the ability to adapt to various units as needed.

Contracts and Shifts

• Contract duration: 8-26 weeks
• Shift hours: Nights (19:00 – 07:00)
• Work schedule: 4 shifts per week
• Weekend requirements: Every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for pediatric surgical patients aged 12 and above, depending on surgical procedure.
• Float to other units as required by staffing needs.
• Assist with general surgical procedures including abdominal, urological, orthopedic, hysterectomy, mastectomy, spine, and bariatric surgeries.
• Adapt to various patient care situations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• No local candidates will be accepted (within 50 miles).
• Pending licenses are not accepted.

Request Time Off (RTO) Policy

When requesting time off, please be aware of the following guidelines:

• If one holiday falls within your assignment, you are expected to work it.
• If two holidays occur, you are expected to work one.
• If three holidays are in your assignment, you are expected to work two.
• Any RTO must be included in submission covers and assignment confirmation documents.

Additional Information

Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed but efforts will be made to group shifts together when possible.
