Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a 32-bed medical/surgical unit. This role is focused on new technologies and innovative nursing practices, ideal for those who are early adopters of new equipment and practice models.

Contract Details

• Contract Duration: 8-26 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 4×12 hours (19:00 – 07:00)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Rotation: Must work one summer and one winter holiday
• Staff Self-Scheduling: Teams will self-schedule in rotating groups every week
• Floating Requirement: May need to float to cover staffing needs

Job Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical/surgical environment
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives
• Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner
• Maintain patient safety and dignity at all times

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Required Certification: BLS
• Must be willing to work designated holidays as part of the holiday rotation
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates are not accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius
• Pending licenses are not accepted

Patient Ratios

The nursing staff will adhere to a patient care ratio of 1:6, ensuring personalized and focused attention for each patient.
