Radiation Therapist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team in the Radiation Oncology unit. The successful candidate will have a passion for patient care and be proficient in the use of advanced technology in radiation therapy.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer radiation treatments to patients in accordance with prescribed protocols.
• Utilize Varian 2300ix and Varian EDGE Truebeam systems for patient treatment.
• Conduct simulations using Siemens CT large bore technology.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, specifically ARIA and EPIC.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and accommodate varying patient schedules.

Schedule

This position is full-time, working 37.5 hours per week, primarily during the day from Monday to Friday, with hours from 0800 to 1600 and some variability based on patient needs.

Qualifications

• New York State licensure as a Radiation Therapist is required.
• Experience and proficiency with Varian 2300ix and Varian EDGE Truebeam systems are essential.
• Familiarity with Siemens CT large bore for simulation is preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records systems, particularly ARIA and EPIC, is necessary.
