Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team on the Med Surg 6 West unit. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population, primarily adults and geriatrics, in a fast-paced environment.

• Start Date: 11/2/2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shifts, 3×12-hour (20:00 – 08:30)
• Average Daily Census: 28
• Number of Beds: 30
• Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
• Scrub Color: Navy

Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Delivering compassionate and effective nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical unit.
• Monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and performing necessary procedures.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Ensuring compliance with nursing best practices and healthcare policies.
• Providing education and support to patients and their families.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and maintain positive working relationships in a team environment.

Additional Requirements

• Availability to work weekends, with every other weekend required.
• Floating within the specialty may be required.
• Attendance during scheduled holidays is mandatory.
