Director of Nursing (DON)

We are seeking a highly qualified Director of Nursing (DON) with extensive experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) to oversee nursing operations and ensure the highest standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing staff and manage all aspects of nursing operations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of care.
• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide mentorship to nursing staff.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
• Manage budgets and resources effectively for the nursing department.
• Address patient and family concerns promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) in a Long-Term Care setting is required.
• Strong understanding of nursing regulations and best practices in LTC.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisive, informed choices.
• Valid nursing license in the state of practice.

Please note that candidates who do not have prior experience as a Director of Nursing in a Long-Term Care setting will not be considered for this position. Training will not be provided, and applicants must possess the required experience from the outset.
