Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

A telemetry nurse specializes in closely monitoring patients’ vital signs and heart rhythms utilizing advanced automated monitoring equipment such as EKGs. They provide care for acutely ill patients who require meticulous observation due to heart disease or other critical conditions, often transitioning from intensive care settings.

Shift Requirements

• 12-hour night shifts
• 36 hours guaranteed per week
• Every other weekend availability

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in telemetry
• NIH stroke training required
• NIHSS and ACLS certifications preferred

Certification Requirements

• BLS (AHA) certification required

Licensing Requirements

• Active nursing license in Michigan required at the time of submission
