Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Med/Surg Telemetry/Intermediate Care (IMC) Float Pool. The successful candidate will be expected to float between Medical/Surgical units and IMC units as needed. Candidates must be comfortable managing patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with various medical conditions, including:
• Acute respiratory distress
• Septic shock
• Hypertensive crisis
• Severe congestive heart failure
• Myocardial infarction
• Unstable angina
• Trauma patients
• Assess and monitor patients’ conditions, making timely decisions based on clinical assessments.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to create and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient care and progress in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Telemetry nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IMC unit in a hospital setting.
• Recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience is required in a hospital setting.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications are required.
• EPIC experience is required.

Additional Requirements

• Flu shot is required.
• A 2-step PPD (Purified Protein Derivative) test is required.

Schedule

This position requires 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, with a daytime schedule from 06:30 to 19:00.
