Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Circulate various surgical cases, including General/GYN, Urology, Orthopedics, Neuro, ENT, Oral, and Plastics.
• Handle cases such as general surgeries, bowel resections, laparoscopic procedures, and more.
• Support and assist in total joints, arthroscopy, and ortho trauma cases.
• Participate in one week of PM shifts approximately every five weeks, in addition to day shifts.
• Fulfill call requirements that include one night per week and one weekend approximately every five to six weekends.
• Contribute to a collaborative environment with charge nurses and surgical techs present at all times.
• Document patient information and workflow efficiently using the Cerner electronic medical record system.
• Engage in floating responsibilities to the Outpatient Surgery Center as necessary.
• Maintain a professional appearance with provided navy blue scrubs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an OR RN.
• Current certifications in ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) are required.
• Ability to circulate in specialty areas including Neuro, ENT, Oral, Plastics, and Peripheral Vascular.
• Demonstrated ability to handle various surgical cases, demonstrating expertise and adaptability.

Orientation and Training

New hires will participate in a comprehensive orientation program lasting 2-3 days, followed by 1-2 weeks of hands-on training with cases to ensure competency and comfort with workflows and surgical procedures.
