Registered Nurse (RN) – Cath Lab/Angio

Shift Information: Variable shift required, including on-call responsibilities.

Minimum Experience: 2 years in an interventional cath lab.

Certifications/Requirements:

• Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS)

Job Description:

The role involves working in the Interventional/Cardiac/Vascular unit, with a focus on patient care during various procedures including Infrared (IR), Vascular, and Cardiac interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a foundational knowledge of diagnostic and interventional cardiology, including procedures related to cardiovascular and interventional radiology.
• Apply specialized skills for patients undergoing angiography, cardiac catheterization, pacemakers, and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) insertion.
• Conduct hemodynamic monitoring and ensure accurate and appropriate application of specialized skills.
• Maintain a basic understanding of radiology equipment and image processing.
• Provide care under varying shift lengths, either 8 or 10 hours, with a commitment to maintain high standards of patient safety and care.

Additional Information:

• Documentation will be done using Meditech EMR system.
• Monitoring will involve the use of Sensis systems.
• Involves taking call 1-2 days per week and approximately every 2-3 weekends, including holidays.
• Part of a 4-person call team.

Candidates should be prepared to engage with a variety of diagnostic technologies including Computerized Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine procedures.
